Gameplay
- Added a whole new section to the level so it's basically double the size.
- Added a rocket launcher weapon.
- Added a backup shotgun that has infinite ammo in case you can't pick up a weapon quickly enough.
- Made doors that open/close when you press a button. Enemy pathfinding does update to accomodate this. Added graphics for them and the buttons.
- Made player character accelerate quickly instead of always being at max speed.
- Added a tutorial for jumping on diagonal walls to reach higher ledges. Also a tutorial in general really.
- Added weapon drops to the radar as green circles.
- Made another mode for the camera that locks onto the player character instead of being slightly offset.
- Shotgun was dealing 90 damage if all pellets hit. Now reals 108 damage if all pellets hit. Reduced max ammo by 1 to compensate.
Enemies
- Added a health bar when they take damage so you can see exactly how much you deal.
- Enemy aggro radius increased by 50%
- Added a scenario where if the path they have to trace is over 50 "Waypoints" long they stop chasing. THis is to prevent them mooshing their face into a door you close, or jumping off a cliff because they don't know they can't fly.
- Enemies bounce back a little when they deal damage. The actual amount seems inconsistent but either way you can't moosh your face into one and not take any more damage.
- Enemies are less likley to get stuck on the sides of platforms when making a "U-turn" around them. I will continue to look into this.
- Instead of spawning in waves, make an enemy spawn at a random position (A distance from player) after every kill outside of the player.
Bugfixes/Misc
- Picking up a new weapon will no longer make its "bullet trail" appear in the right side of the map (Which is the 0,0,0 point, or the origin of the scene).
- Disabled fullscreen. It wasn't centering and it doesn't scale with the screen size anyway.
- The previous pathfinding system was causing too much strain on the system memory to play the game, so I have overhauled it and now it works just fine again.
- This is the last update before I will release the game to the public.
